Pics

I don't have the energy for Picasa. Its wearing me out. Here are pics from the day before surgery

You can see my "gummy smile" in the one above. I'm excited to see what its going to look like with all the gone. The next two are about 6 hrs post op. The resolution isn't that good since they were taken on a camera phone.

The next two were just taken a couple of minutes ago. I just made a trip around the block to get some fresh air. It's actually cooled down outside a bit so it felt really good. Its doesn't take much to get worn out though. I also finally took a real shower and washed my hair. That can make anyone feel like new woman! This was my best effort to smile...

Yay for pictures! You look great for just a few days post op! =)

Don't overwork yourself. This is your time to relax. I know it's hard, but you'll get used to it!

The first week is hard, but you sound like you have a good support team, so I'm sure you'll be alright. It's so great that you can breathe through your nose; I couldn't and that nearly drove me insane. I hope you can sleep ok - sleep, and showers, really help morale, too. Big hugs and wishes for a quick, worry-free recovery.

You're looking good!! Now you've inspired me to post some more post-op pics. I'll put some up later today.

It's so nice to take a shower, take a short walk, and then a nap!

Rachel, the peach-ensure smoothie is tasty. Thanks for the recommendation!

With respect to nose bleeds, are you also experiencing congestion? I did for about 5-7 days post-op. My sister suggested I take a shower to let the steam clear my sinuses. I would take my nasal spray with me, too, and sometimes I would just sit down in the shower for a bit. That seemed to help me with the congestion and the nose bleeds started to lessen.

Hey, I also used a heating pad last night on my face. You're not kidding, that really works! The swelling is going down, I think faster than before.

Thanks for all the tips, Rachel. You're the best!
